Dead Artists Represented & Co. is a project conceived by artist; Andres Gimenez.
DARCO is meant to showcase and sell the work of deceased or forgotten artists, exclusive to those whom lived & made on a planet similar to Earth lodged in the Iris of Andres's right eye.
During the summer of 2019, Andres began to conceptualize what his first legitimate film would look like, this is when he began to see, hear & dream with the world lodged into the threads of his Iris. Since then, he continues to hear the stories of other lost artists on planet Iris and aims to re-present them in our immediate reality.
DARCO intends to satirize gallery norms which exploit the name and work of artists who have passed away. All artists are recreated with actors from planet Earth & all artworks are re-rendered by Andres Gimenez.
